9. A Sad Loss - Spoilers and Plot Hole??? - Tales of the Unexpected ...

One of the Sky channels is currently repeating TOTU and I caught the episode "A Sad Loss" the other day. This is the episode set in the West Indies hotel owned by a couple, where the couple's Aunt finds out she has a new baby nephew to leave her fortune to and attempts to write the hotel owners out of her will.
When I was watching it, I thought I had figured out the twist, but then realised that it couldn't be that due to the timing of events. However, at the end, things turned out how I thoguht they would have done anyway.
In essence, the aunt gives Phyllida Law a letter to post, then she changes her will after finding out about the new baby and changes her will, witnessd by a couple of hotel guests. She gives the hotel owner the new will to be posted and it is detroyed by her and her boyfriend, who then kill her so the will remains unchanged. The final scene shows the housekeeper who was sent the original letter opening it and calling the lawyer as it's actually the revised will.
The letter was definitely given to Phyllida Law's character before the new will was written and the will was definitely burnt.
So, was it a plot hole or am I missing something?
